More often than not, yes. Seams are where gutters leak first, and eliminating them along each run removes the most common failure point. The corners and downspout connections are the only joints left.

Usually a combo of heavy ice/snow load, waterlogged debris weight, and fasteners working loose over time. Re-securing with proper hangers into solid fascia fixes it.
